Gyp Mills (David John Mills - 1946, Peckham Rye, UK) is an English sculptor who was first in the public eye as the companion to the 1960's singer-songwriter, Donovan. Mills was tour manager for Donovan for many years, and appeared alongside him in the TV film, 'A Boy Called Donovan'.  In 1968 he was with The Beatles in India visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at Rishikesh.
From 1968 to 1971 Mills studied sculpture with personal tuition from renowned British sculptor David Wynne to whom he was introduced by George Harrison while Wynne was working on a sculpture of the 'Fab Four'.
Mills moved away from his music industry roots towards the visual arts. In the years that followed he restored a farm house on the Greek island of Paros where he lived and worked as a sculptor working principally in marble.
