Long exposure photography is a form of photography that I most certainly do not do enough of. This is mainly due to the fact that I don’t carry a tripod with me as often as I should. Fortunately, while I was out shooting sunset one evening, I had a tripod with me and I decided to wait out until blue hour to capture some moody long exposures of the ocean. The results were stunning. The ugly, distracting ripples that were caused by the wind were no longer visible in my photos; as the water nicely blurred to form a smooth sheen of color. I was so excited when I was looking at the back of the camera, I knew that I’d need to do more of these kinds of shots in the future. There’s just something so soothing about a long exposure image.
